Law of Attraction - What is Success?

posted in Law of Attraction, Stephen Pierce, Self Improvement, Great Mentors, Success |

What is success?

- Some say, you set a goal, you achieve it, you are successful.
- Some say, when someone else say you are successful, you are successful.
- Most say, when you earn a million dollar, you are successful.

So, what is success?

A great mentor of mine gave me this definition:

“Success is getting better then yourself each day” - Stephen Pierce

Well, I am not sure if I gotten exact words he said but in essence:

- Success is being in a position that was better then where YOU where yesterday
- Success is being able to earn more then what YOU earn last month
- Success is being better at what you did compared to when YOU last did it

In another words, success is about YOU! You getting better then yourself!
It is not about what others think, it is about what you think about yourself!
It is not comparing against others, it is about comparing against yourself!

I have adopted this mindset since I met Stephen and heard him utter this words.
It is how I measure my success.

I was surprised how my outlook changed when I shifted my mindset. I used to say,
yes I improved somewhat but compared to someone else, I don’t think I did enough!
Now I say, good job! Lets improved it further tomorrow.

Well, what has this got to do with Law of Attraction?

Simple, people tend to set goals that are not achievable in a day. When you compare
against something like that, it is not easy to feel happy. It is not easy to feel you have
accomplished something. But, when you shift your mindset to compare against yourself.
Any tiny achievement is cause for celebration. Happy is the default mood and Law of
Attraction
will have the chance to do it’s magic.

As a parting gift, I am sharing this great video with you, my dear readers and friends.

my definition of success is just being happy and content with where you are in life, no matter how much or how little you have.

    Hey Stormin1961,

Thanks for sharing your insight. What you have called success is what I call gratitude. It is also a very very important part of our life.

    Hugs,

Great description of how to evaluate what success is on a personal level. Often times I have the habit of comparing myself to others, especially my knowledge base at work. But now I will measure against how I’ve done it in the past and be merry for my accomplishments. Its always nice to read your blogposts and lift my spirits or change my perspective a little…thanks :)

    Hey JT,

Great to see you here. Yes, I often did what you did too - comparing myself with my peers. Nowadays, I want to be better at what I am doing day after day. I still set targets that are high but I celebrate each successful step that I take!

I am happy that our posts brings positive energies to your spirit! :)

    Love,
    James
