9 Secret Steps To Life Transformation: Show Gratitude To What You Have

posted in Law of Attraction, Stephen Pierce, Success, Gratitude, Responsibility, 9 Secrets To Life Transformation |

Hey Folks,

I’m back again today to talk about Step 2 in my “9 Secret Steps To Life Transformation“. I wanted to post this up yesterday but some event happened busted my energy bubble and drained me so emotionally that I could not write properly after that. I did not blame anyone (cos I take 100% responsibility) and I am now applying my step 2 (which is what this post is all about) together with listening to Attraction Accelerator to recharge my energy as I write this post.

Now that you have taken back your 100% responsibility, it’s time to give gratitude to what you already have in your life.

I believe many of you have heard about paying gratitude at one time or another but how many of you actually do it? Have you ever give thanks to be able to open your eyes in the morning, take a deep breathe and get out of bed without aches or pains? Have you ever give thanks to having food served on your table by your mom and having your dad ask you how was today? I know it may seem like a little too trivial to give any thanks for but thats exactly my point. Do you realize how much we have taken those things for granted? That mom and dad will be always around. That we will always be healthy and be able to wake up in the morning. That kind of thing.

We humans have a very bad behavior of taking things for granted once we feel that we do not need to work hard at getting what we needed or wanted. We only focus on what we still cannot get our hands on. Thats why most people are unhappy with what they already have and want more? So is wanting more a bad thing? Absolutely not! Wanting more is how humans improve and shouldn’t be discouraged. But what we need to do is to give thanks and show a little gratitude to what we already have.

From there, we can move on from a position of emotional strength and have no lingering emotional baggage. Who do you think climbs higher, a climber with no baggage or one with a big baggage on his back?

It doesn’t matter where you are at the moment in life (rich or broke, successful or mediocre, etc), if you sit down and pen down the things that you really have and give thanks to each of those little things, you will be surprised at how long a list you have. Don’t you think that with such a long list, you are actually quite fortunate already? I know I am.

So if you have not given any gratitude to what you have recently, sit down, take a moment and write up that list. And give thanks to each and every one of them. You can say it out loud (which is good) to them or you can silently give thanks. As long as it generates a good feeling after you are done.

Love,
James

Nice post. I believe that we need to cherish the things that are important to us, including our relationships. Just like a garden, we must take care of it, or we are doomed to let it slip away. Then it takes even more work to try to get it back again. This idea is one that is all throughout the Scriptures, and is a great model for how we should live our lives.

    Hi Dan,

    Thanks for the compliment :)

Yes, most people take their relationship for granted and live to regret when they lose it. We should cherish it every moment we have instead. :)

Thanks James. Begining to list what I need to show gratitude
for has and continues to be an immense experience for me.
There is so much still to be listed. How could I have been
so blind? This has indeed been an eye opener. I am now studying
    all your articles.

I think people will always take things for granted, it is part of our makeup. The only time we consider the issue is when we generally lose something or are forced to see things in a different light.

As a young lad I was a ski instructor working in Norway, on a day off my boss asked if I would do him a big favour by hosting the British Olympic Paraplegics Ski Team. I was disappointed to be dragged away from the bar and my friends but I agreed. That day was to be a defining moment in my life. To witness young people without the use of their legs, having a great time skiing in these buggy things and steering by using crutches with small skis on was awesome.

These people are so very proud they would rather drag themselves along the floor than ask anyone for help. It really hit home how fortunate I was in my own life, I often thought about this moment when I felt downhearted about something. That day I didn’t do them a favour, they did me one, without even realising it.
