9 Secret Steps To Life Transformation: Bury The Procrastination Monster

Hey Folks,

In my last post, I share that at one point of my life or another, procrastination took different forms and challenged my will to be successful. Sometimes it wins, sometimes I do. Today, I win most of the encounters but I still need to consistently remind myself of this dangerous monster in order to defeat it. So here’s my secret weapons:

Just Do It

1) Failure is the mother of all success - I do it “Nike’s way“, yes, that’s right - “JUST DO IT“. If I have to do it sooner or later and I have no idea how to do it better, I will just do it now and be prepared to learn from it. So that the next time I have to do the same thing, I’ll be able to do better.

2) Make it so painful you just have to do something about it - I have known friends who takes 50% pay cut from his job to motivate themselves to work harder with their side business. The pain that followed was too great and too real due to the lost of income which made him work his side business harder and smarter then before using the extra time gain from his job since he now works on alternate days.

3) Just be good enough to get the job done - I set specific goals and specific time frame for each goal. It really helps to eliminate the habit of perfecting everything. If there is time, I’ll improve upon it. If the time is up and I have done well enough to proceed to the next goal, I’ll move on.

I admit that my methods may not be the most elegant way but hey, they work! :)

Oh, as for laziness …. well, I was born lazy or so I thought. I have been defeated by this one for more time then I care to remember but nowadays I have a buddy call OptiMINDzation which helps me bury my laziness more often then any other method I know of.

If you had known me long enough, you will know I am always bursting with energy but there are also times where I have low energy (a nice alternate name for being lazy). And when you are lazy, it is very hard to get out of being lazy, you simply cannot find enough energy to start doing something meaningful. So when I find myself in that state, I whip out my OptiMINDzation CD and listen to it. 30 minutes later, I’ll be doing whatever I need to be doing and the effects last the whole day. :)

So there you have it. All my secret weapons I use to bury the Procrastination Monster.

Do you have a better method or maybe just a different method that works equally work for you? Come on, share it with us by clicking here to comment.

Love,
James

PS: You can read another Review by Matt Morris, President of Success University, and see what he has to say about OptiMINDzation.

PSS: If you need to understand how listening to music can enhance your energy, improve your focus, etc and all the other mambo jumbo technical stuff. Check out our new link at the top called “Links and Resources” under “Brainwave Enhancement“. I don’t actually bother too much reading into the technical details as long as it works :)

    Great points there!

As for the PPS, I don’t agree with it. :)
“listening to music can enhance your energy, improve your focus, etc” It may increase your energy, but to improve focus?… I’m pretty sure it decreases focus.

PS: Music improves focus if you don’t listen to it while working, but before or after.

    Hey Titus,

Thanks for dropping in a comment :)

For the PPS, it really depends on what sort of music your listen to and the level it was played back at. Betawave music does improve my focus (personal experience). The only way to understand it is to experience it. :)

One point to clarify is that you may “get distracted” when listening to it for the first time, cos it sounds different or funny, but thats for only 30 mins. After that, you mind clears up and your productivity improves.

    Cheers

PS: Anyway, since the products have money back guarantee, you can try it if you are interested with no monetary risk :P
