9 Secret Steps To Life Transformation: A Technique To Give Gratitude

Hey Folks

Now, have you written down your gratitude list and gave gratitude to each of the items listed? If yes, how are you feeling now?

If you still can’t feel anything, don’t bash yourself. It is normal that at the very beginning, you may not feel anything. It takes a few days for some, a few weeks for others to get the right feeling. Karen took a month.

Another reason why it takes longer is because reading from a list involves the conscious mind. But to really show gratitude, you need to involve you sub-conscious mind and the sub-conscious mind only understand feelings. Thats why some people say that you need to show gratitude from your heart.

That is also the reason why I mentioned in the last post that you need to feel the gratitude and one method of doing it is to imagine what will happen if you lose that item you listed.

Say, for example, the item you list is that you are grateful for your mother preparing meals for you everyday. Now imaging that she goes on 6 months holiday to somewhere else and you have no one to prepare meals for you for 6 months, you are on your own. How do you feel? Still don’t feel anything? Go one step further, feel that due to some accident in her travel abroad and you lost your dear mom. How do you feel now? Most of you would feel at least a slight aching of your heart, I would get tears flowing when I try that.

Now, hold that feeling and think of how grateful you are that you have that item in your life right now. Do you feel relieved? Hold that feeling, that IS gratitude.

Now, it wasn’t really that difficult right? Repeat on each and every item you listed on your gratitude list. Do it once everyday for 30 days and you will be a changed person.

Love,
James

PS: If you like what you are reading, share it with a friend, a loved one, a colleague. Or if you have a blog, mentioned it to your readers. I used to be a shy guy but nowadays I love to share. Here’s a quote I like you to take away with:

Giving is better than receiving
because giving starts the receiving process
